The WSET Advanced Certificate Level 3 course broadens and builds on the knowledge gained from WSET Intermediate Level 2. In 5 intensive days' teaching and coaching, we provide an in-depth exploration of the world of wine and spirits. After passing both the theory and tasting exams, you will receive both certification and the right to use the WSET® certified Advanced logo.

We are approved as an Official WSET (Wines and Spirits Education Trust) Programme Provider. We provide Foundation, Intermediate AND Advanced Courses.
We will be offering the Intermediate and Advanced courses for study in FOUR different ways:
1. Fully Taught Courses
2. Assisted Study (with Tutorial Help Available)
3. Distance Learning (includes course materials and exam fees)
4. Exam ONLY (exam fees and exam arrangements ONLY)

Below is an outline of these courses:

Foundation Course

This qualification gives you an introduction to major wine styles and grape varieties. You will also learn systematic wine tasting techniques and the basics of wine and food matching –with a chance to do some food and wine matching of your own!
You will get your certification for this internationally recognized qualification by passing a simple multiple-choice exam. This course is runs for 8 hours and costs 1,900RMB (including wines, materials, examination fee). For more information, contact info@longfengwines.com

Intermediate

This qualification offers broad coverage of all product categories in the field of alcoholic drinks, together with basic tasting technique. It is suitable for those with a small amount of previous experience with wine.

  • How wine is made and other factors influencing the style of wine
  • Key white and black grape varieties
  • Wine-producing regions of the world
  • Sparkling wines, sweet wines and fortified wines
  • Spirits and liqueurs
  • Label terminology
  • Food and wine matching
  • How to taste wine, using the Systematic Approach to Tasting Wine

Advanced Course
The Advanced course broadens and builds on the knowledge gained from the Intermediate Level. It is also a pre-requisite for moving onto the Diploma. The Advanced requires previous good knowledge of wine and spirits and also requires study outside of classroom hours to ensure a good grade.
Those who successfully pass the written exam (multiple choice and written answers) and the tasting exam (one wine) will be entitle to use the WSET Advanced logo.
The Advanced Level involves two basic parts:
